The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) recently released a second draft of its Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). Although still in draft form, TEFCA will create common rules to help enable a trustworthy nationwide exchange of electronic health information across disparate networks and advance interoperability participation.
